Brittany Mahomes Is Not Happy With Cincinnati Mayor’s Comments

In a Friday official city proclamation, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval made fun of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Purval declared this Sunday “They Gotta Play Us Day” in honour of the Bengals’ AFC championship game against the Chiefs.

Aftab Pureval, the mayor of Cincinnati, announced the location of the rematch as “Burrowhead Stadium.”

He added that since Burrow has defeated Mahomes every time they’ve played and is his “daddy,” Mahomes might need to get a paternity test to determine whether Burrow is actually his father.

The mayor made light of Mahomes’ 0-3 record against Joe Burrow in his proclamation, joking that officials had requested that Burrow take a paternity test to determine whether or not he was Mahomes’ father.

However, the Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas responded on Twitter.

“Sorry, y’all, I hear the mayor of Cincinnati has tried to bring some smoke that’s weak as hell. Catching up now…”

And Brittany Mahomes weighed in on the spat too, labelling Pureval “weak and embarrassing”.

Brittany Mahomes was criticised for her gameday antics, including splashing champagne from her executive box all over Chiefs supporters.

Over 2.2 million people had viewed the post as of early Saturday morning, the day before the rematch of the AFC championship between Patrick’s Chiefs and Burrow’s Bengals.

In a thrilling overtime victory last season, the Bengals defeated the Chiefs 27-24 to secure their first Super Bowl participation since 1988.

On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., the highly anticipated rematch of the 2017 AFC championship game will begin.
