Breanna Stewart To Launch Signature Sneakers With Puma

Breanna Stewart, a star for Team USA and perhaps the best player in the world, has accomplished nearly everything there is to accomplish in basketball. She has won individual awards and titles in high school, college, the WNBA, and Europe. She has also won two Olympic gold medals and was named the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup MVP as Team USA easily won the competition.

Breanna Stewart Launches Sneakers With Puma

Her most recent accomplishment, a trademark basketball shoe with Puma called the “Stewie 1,” is a historic moment for women’s basketball. Still, Stewart recently told The Pick and Roll that it’s also “bittersweet” because so few women have accomplished the same thing before her.

At the ‘Stewie 1’ sneaker’s Sydney-area premiere, Stewart said, “Having a signature shoe is clearly something that is big for me.”

Going into the store and having children buy your sneakers because they want to play like Breanna Stewart or play like Stewie is something that you dream of as a child. I’m hoping there will be more to come.”

Stewart’s entry into the shoe industry is an opportunity to share her experience in addition to forging new ground.

She remarked, “I was actively involved in the design process; we started around the beginning of 2021, and to be honest, it was a little bit intimidating because I didn’t know exactly where to start. “

“But I knew that the special thing that I wanted on the shoe was my scar at that time, when it was only one and then I had another surgery, so they put two, but making sure that on my shoe, you’re able to see my journey and understand the where I came from, what I went through, and how I where I am now,” the customer said.

Since Stewart and wife Marta Xargay had daughter Ruby last year, shortly after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics, the significance of that event has increased to new heights. Stewart’s determination to fight for equality and make sure her daughter may pursue her dreams in life has increased since becoming a mother.

“I want to do my best for Ruby, but I also want to make sure that she will have the option to do whatever she wants to do if she wants to play basketball or do anything else,” said the man.

Stewart, who takes pride in making decisions that will not only inspire but also help the next generation, said the historic event was “very important” for young girls to experience as women’s basketball continues to garner attention.
