BREAKING:- Manager Confirms Henry Cejudo Will Re-Enter the USADA Testing Pool on Monday for a Potential Return to the UFC
In the world of combat sports, be it boxing or MMA, there have been only a handful of fighters that have been able to retire at the top of their game after dominant wins. In most cases, fans witness their childhood idols succumb to multiple losses as the sport forces them out. However, the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Henry Cejudo, and Khabib Nurmagomedov are a few exceptions to the rule.
‘Triple C’ decided to hang up his gloves after a title defense against Dominick Cruz in 2020. Much like a lot of fighters who have retired, Cejudo is itching to get back into the ring. However, he will only do so if he is given the chance to become a three-weight world champion. Which is not something Dana White and the UFC are keen on. In the recent episode of his show with ‘The Schmo’, Cejudo shed light on what might be next for him.
He said, “I gotta talk to Ali and I am serious about entering back in the USADA pool. Because Alexander the average, he is pummeling through people, talking about there is no competitors, well you got the ‘Triple C’ here. Then you got the CEO of EPO, TJ Dillashaw if he comes back and beats Aljalame Sterling, then I think there is a beautiful storyline. Don’t count ‘Triple C’ out.”
‘Triple C’ continued, “I am going to talk to Ali man, and by Monday I am going to decide man what I am going to end up doing, if I am going to end back in the pool. Because if the UFC is serious, and they wanna talk money… because if I jump into the pool I am still doing it for money… if they can’t pay me I am going to officially officially officially retire.”
