BREAKING: Jorge Masvidal Signs a Bumper New Deal With the UFC- Joins McGregor and Adesanya as the Top Three Highest Paid Athletes

Jorge Masvidal has seen a career resurgence like no other fighter in recent memory has. ‘Gamebred’ went from being just another fighter on the roster to one of the biggest stars in the sport all because of a slight change in his mindset. After spending a considerable amount of time in solidarity in the jungles while filming a reality show, Masvidal decided to make a few key changes to his lifestyle and his fight career.

‘Gamebred’ returned from a 2-year hiatus and secured back-to-back knockout wins against the likes of Darren Till and Ben Askren that skyrocketed his status as a superstar in the UFC. The culmination of over 20-years of work is finally starting to pay off as Masvidal has signed a new and improved lucrative deal with the UFC

Masvidal, posted a few pictures on Twitter with the caption, “Thank you Hunter Cambell and @danawhite and my team @malkikawa @Abraham_kawa and @FirstRoundMgmt for making sure my kids will never go hungry again #blessed.”

Manager Malki Kawa replied to the tweet saying, “New fight contract that makes jorge top 3 highest paid in ufc. Good work team! Thank you @ufc and hunter Campbell specifically for working on this contract with us. #ppvmonster #baseguarantees #top3.”

Jorge Masvidal joins the likes of Israel Adesanya and Conor McGregor atop the UFC’s pay scale

Just last month, ‘The Last Style Bender’ signed a new multi-fight contract with the UFC. His management company stated that this made him the second-highest-paid fighter in the promotion. It appears as though with the new deal, Jorge Masvidal has joined the likes of McGregor and Adesanya to form an impressive top three highest-paid fighters in the UFC.

Just two years back before his fight against Till, Masvidal was at odds with the UFC over his pay and is now the top-3 highest-paid fighters on the roster. An incredible turnaround to say the least.

If Jorge Masvidal is able to secure a win over Colby Covington this weekend, it would only further skyrocket his fame. However, if ‘Gamebred’ falls short against a heated rival in Covington, it will definitely diminish his star power in the promotion. It will be interesting to see h
