BREAKING: Former UFC Fighter Phil Baroni Arrested For Allegedly Murdering Girlfriend

The allegations surrounding the suspected murder of Phil Baroni’s girlfriend in Mexico are horrific. Phil Baroni was a former UFC fighter.

The Tribuna De La Bahia newspaper in Mexico reported that when police arrived, they discovered Baroni’s girlfriend unconscious and naked in bed with a sheet over her. According to the report, she had bruises and marks all over her body and face, and she gave no indication that she was still alive.

Baroni’s hands were reportedly crimson when authorities examined his body. They snapped pictures.

According to a story from the Mexican news source Tribuna De La Bahia, Baroni and his girlfriend got into a fight at a hotel in the town of San Pancho when both of them were under the influence of narcotics and alcohol. It’s assumed that the dispute started when Baroni’s girlfriend told him she was having an affair.

Phil Baroni alerted nearby police officers that his lover, Poala—her real name—was comatose inside a hotel room. Officers discovered the deceased woman naked on a bed inside the hotel room after the ex-UFC fighter allegedly threw his lover into the bathtub, where she suffered a fatal head injury.

Following her admission that she was cold, the report adds that Baroni assisted his partner in getting back onto the bed. After leaving the room to acquire beer and cigars, as his lover apparently requested, Baroni returned to find his partner had passed out. After that, Baroni attempted to revive the victim, but she passed away due to her wounds.

When police entered the room, the dead woman had “many signs of beatings” and “no vital signs.” The hands of Baroni were reddened in photos posted by Observando la Bahia, and he could be seen speaking to police while crime tape was placed up outside the hotel room he was staying at. The murder will now be the subject of a thorough police investigation, as Baroni is being held in custody after being arrested for the alleged murder.

Phil Baroni was a founding member of the UFC, having made his promotional debut at UFC 30 back in February 2001. Over the course of two stints with the company, he engaged in ten fights, recording a combined 3-7 record. Baroni’s professional mixed martial arts career came to an end in 2019 with a record of 16-19.
