Boxer Amir Khan got Robbed by Goons at the Gun Point. “I keep thinking that we could have been shot,” said Faryal after the incident
Thugs in masks who robbed Amir Khan of his £72,000 diamond watch during a raid at gunpoint in front of his sobbing wife have been sentenced to prison today.
The 36-year-old boxer was horrified as the assailant charged at him and ordered him to “take off the watch.”
At the time of the heist, Khan was out to dinner with his wife Faryal, 31, and a friend named Omar Khalid at the Sahara Grill in Leyton, East London.

Ahmed Bana, Nurul Amin, and Ismail Mohammed, three 25-year-olds, had their earlier charges of robbery conspiracy dismissed.
Khan explained to the court in a victim impact statement how the crime affected his life.
He added: “I am very fearful of going out, particularly in London.
“I avoid coming back to London, which I find sad because it’s where I grew up and spent my life.

“I am constantly looking over my shoulder. I am very wary of people, even fans and friendly people who approach.
“I was previously very friendly. I never said no to a fan who wanted to chat or take a photo.”
His wife, Faryal said: “I keep thinking that we could have been shot.”
The unsettling video saw Khan being robbed on the busy high street.
At first, as he walked out of the restaurant with his wife, the former world boxing champion could be seen grinning.

Two men exit a silver Mercedes coupe, and he crosses the street to get into the vehicle being driven by Omar.
The boxer then surrenders his watch as a hooded figure running towards him raises his arm to point a revolver at him.
The robbers then sped away in the Mercedes that Bana was operating.
Khan earlier described his dread as he related how he ended up facing a gun’s barrel.

He said: “I am a sportsman, a fighter, I have been put in the toughest situations but this is something different, this is really really scary.
“When he put the gun to my face I couldn’t recognise him because he had a mask on. I looked away because I didn’t want him to pull the trigger.
“I took it off straight away and that’s when I handed it to him.”

Khan further described how Faryal was “screaming and crying” after the harrowing event.
He said in court that he received the rose-gold, diamond-encrusted watch, believed to be worth £72,000, after winning a boxing match.
Khan thanked the Met Police in April and stated that the watch had been returned to him.

He also disclosed his intention to sell the watch at auction in order to “raise funds for the less fortunate”.
A portion of the money raised will be used to combat knife and gun violence in the UK.
