Bills Damar Hamlin’s Jersey No 3 Becomes One Of The Highest Selling In Sports, Fanatics Says All Proceeds Will Go To His Charity

Damar Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, suffered a heart attack during the horrifying game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and since then, his jersey has become one of the most popular sports items on Fanatics.com.

In the midst of the Buffalo Bills game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Hamlin passed out on the field. CPR was administered, and his heartbeat was later revived. The Bills stated early on Tuesday that he was brought to the hospital for more tests and treatment and “is now sedated and listed in critical condition.”

Through his Chasing M’s Foundation, Hamlin launched a toy drive with a $2,500 fundraising target in 2020. The drive is currently going strong. The Foundation has amassed approximately $5 MILLION in donations since the injury.

The Bills safety is being supported in other ways as well, though. Behind his teammate Josh Allen, his jersey is presently the fourth-most popular NFL jersey on Fanatics.

Fanatics executive chairman Michael Rubin declared on Tuesday afternoon that all sales revenue from his jersey will be donated to Damar Hamlin’s organisation as it was flying off the stores.

“We are grateful and thankful for the outpouring of support we have received thus far,” the Bills statement read.

Damar Hamlin’s family released a statement on Tuesday expressing their “sincere gratitude” for the outpouring of support they received amid a “challenging time” for the family.

“On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country,” the statement read.

One block from the hospital room, roughly 100 Bills and Bengals supporters gathered at a crossroads in what appeared to be the support of Hamlin. The National Football League announced that the game, which had been suspended, would not resume about an hour after Hamlin’s collapse.

The NFL announced that the postponed game would not be played this week, and as of now, Week 18 will go on as scheduled.
