Billionaire Owner Jerry Jones Unfazed by Dallas Cowboys Packed Playoff Schedule
The Dallas Cowboys finished second in the NFC East behind the Eagles due to which they had to participate in the wild card rounds. The cowboys are a big draw on TV, which is why their game against the Buccaneers was scheduled for Monday night football. While not many expected the Cowboys to walk away with the win, Dak Prescott and his men put on an absolute clinic to demolish Tom Brady and his men.
Following the win, the Cowboys’ divisional round schedule was revealed, they are set for a game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon, having played on Monday night, which means minimal time for rest and recovery. When asked about their hectic schedule, head coach Mike McCarthy had a rather interesting answer to the same.

He said, “TV is king. What are you going to say?. “It’s not a concern. We’ve got plenty of time to get ready. We’re not stressed about it at all. I think it’s going to serve us well. We’ll have less sleep, and we’ll be grumpy.”

Owner Jerry Jones also shared the same view as his head coach about the packed schedule. He said, “Not at all. Not at all. That’s what we were dealt. We got to play in front of the nation. We got an extra day to get ready for tonight. Good thing. The result, we’ll go play on a short week. We’ve done that Thanksgiving Day, played short weeks. . . . I don’t see that being a disadvantage.”

Despite a brilliant performance by the Dallas Cowboys, the major talking point both in the buildup to the game as well as after the game was Tom Brady. The seven-time Super Bowl champion ended his 23rd season in the NFL with a loss against the Cowboys. After the loss, many fans questioned whether we would ever see him play again.
