Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase Admits “It’s Going To Be Hard To Keep Him And Tee Higgins Together”
Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins make up the youthful core of the Cincinnati Bengals, making them difficult to stop.
The Bengals’ window for a title appears to be wide open, even if they just missed a second straight trip to the Super Bowl this season – provided they can keep the trio together.

In the offseason, focus has switched to the Bengals’ bank account. Both Burrow and Higgins are approaching the last year of their rookie contracts and are therefore candidates for extensions. The Bengals have until May 1 to execute Burrow’s fifth-year option. Burrow is anticipated to sign a long-term contract with Cincinnati, while Higgins’ position with the club is less definite.
Update: #Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase thinks Joe Burrow could sign a team-friendly deal. Burrow, Chase and Tee Higgins all need to be paid soon.

“It would be nice for Tee (Higgins) to be on the same side with me still as long as we can go,” Chase told USA TODAY Sports at Super Bowl 57 Radio Row at the Phoenix Convention Center. “Somebody later down the line is going to have to do something for us to have this team stay together.”
Higgins and Chase each amassed 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons. Chase is approaching the third year of his rookie deal and is available for an extension in the upcoming summer. He refers to himself as “the best receiver in the game.”

When asked how the franchise can keep him and Higgins, Chase said, “I really don’t know.” But Chase believes Higgins has the talent to be “one of the best in the league.”
“He’s a great receiver man. He’s an outstanding guy,” Chase said. “Tee is ridiculous. He can run routes. He can go up and get it, the acrobatic catches. He made some plays this year that I’ve never seen.”
But wait I thought we won’t be able to keep Higgins and chase together since we have to sign burrow? 😚 get used to seeing the bengals ladies and gents https://t.co/9gUaPAxBhG

Over the previous two seasons, the two have actually combined for 4,621 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns. This remains true even though Higgins and Chase both missed four games.
The NFL pay cap creates a challenge, despite the Bengals’ desire to keep this team together for as long as possible. Chase won’t be leaving. Joe Burrow, a renowned quarterback, is not either.
