Burrow is not only well-known for his abilities on the field, but also for how coolly he handles the limelight throughout the entire process. The nicknames given to him have increased along with the attention he is receiving.

Joe Burrow’s first three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals have seen him live up to his “Joe Cool” and “Joe Brrrr” moniker.

Throughout his three productive seasons in the NFL, the quarterback has received quite a few. The nicknames don’t bother him in the least; in fact, it appears that he enjoys them.

In honor of the rookie phenom that helped make the Cincinnati Reds the hottest club in baseball, Burrow has now given himself a new name.

Prior to a Reds game on Monday, Burrow shared a snapshot of himself on Instagram doing batting practice with the caption “Joey De La Cruz.”

Burrow’s moniker is derived from Elly De La Cruz, who has swept the league since being called up three weeks ago.

The 21-year-old De La Cruz, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound switch-hitter at third base and shortstop, has put on an incredible skill show in his first 18 Major League games.

De La Cruz has been cutting so far. With three home runs, two triples, 10 RBI, 19 runs scored, and eight stolen bases, the player hit 315.375.562. When De La Cruz made his debut, Cincinnati was 27-33 and 5.5 games out of first place. Now, they are 41-38 and only a half-game behind division-leading Milwaukee.
