Before NFL Draft Jaylon Johnson Gives Caleb Williams A Heads Up: “can’t bring that Hollywood stuff”

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears seem to be a match made in heaven, and as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches, team members are starting to talk about Williams and his upcoming move to the NFL.

Before NFL Draft Jaylon Johnson Gives Caleb Williams A Heads Up: “Can’t bring that Hollywood stuff”

The most recent to do so is Bears standout wide receiver Jaylon Johnson, who took some time on Wednesday to counsel Williams as he gets ready to enter their locker room.

Williams has made a name for himself as a distinctive individual who is conscious of his rising celebrity. It doesn’t matter if that’s true or not; it seems like that’s how many in the league feel.

And in the event that Chicago selects Caleb Williams of USC as the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Jaylon Johnson, a veteran of the Bears, wants him to keep that in mind as the Bears’ expected starting quarterback in 2024.

“You just humble your stuff coming into the building. You can’t bring that Hollywood stuff into the building, especially with guys who played this game at a high level for consecutive years in the league,” Johnson said on “Up & Adams” on Thursday. “What you did in college, the Hollywood, it’s like ‘Nah, you gotta prove yourself. That stuff like that doesn’t matter.’ You gotta get to know him too.

“I think there’s a fine line between trying to prove a point to him but also getting to know him. At the end of the day, we want him to be the absolute best he can be. That’s what we’re bringing him in for, to win games. Truly just learning who he is as a person and learning him deeper than just all the Hollywood stuff you see, but actually trying to learn and get to know him and then knowing from there what pushes him.”

Three-time Pro Bowl selection and free-agent offensive lineman Taylor Lewan raised eyebrows earlier this month when he stated he “did not get a good vibe from Caleb Williams throughout the combine process.”

Williams did not complete any medical examinations in Indianapolis, but it is believed that the Bears will be unable to pass on him at selection No. 1 due to his skill and game film.

Although Williams is unique, it seems like his future teammates are getting ready to make the most of their “welcome to the NFL, rookie” moments in the summertime exercises.

Does Caleb Williams want to play for the Bears?

Williams threw up the idea that he would rather to play in Chicago than want to be transferred. He declared, “I’m not pushing any agenda.” “The Bears have the last word on the matter. I’m not pushing an agenda to say, “Yeah, I want to go,” regardless of how I’m feeling.

How many TDS does Caleb Williams have?

Williams threw for 3,333 yards with 31 passing and 11 rushing touchdowns in the regular season of 2023, helping the Trojans to a 7-5 record. After the season, he filed to enter the 2024 NFL Draft. He threw for over 10,000 yards and 120 touchdowns in his collegiate career.

How much money will Caleb Williams make on his rookie contract?

According to Spotrac, the top choice in the 2024 NFL Draft is anticipated to sign a four-year, $38.5 million contract that includes a fifth-year team option. The highest pick would receive a signing bonus of $24.8 million in addition to a salary of between $800,000 and $900,000.

Williams would lose between $1 and $2 million over the course of his deal if he unexpectedly went to No. 2.

Williams, though, is expected to go first and will nearly treble his NIL earnings with only his signing bonus and first-year pay. That will all alter dramatically in Year 2, when he will likely make between $2.5 and $3 million in addition to his $1 million salary from the roster bonus.
