Backup QB Cooper Rush’s Efforts To Hold Down The Fort Continues To Cast A Shadow Over Dak Prescott
Over the course of his career, Dak Prescott has come under a lot of scrutiny, and part of it is due to the franchise he plays for. The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most divisive teams in the league despite having some of the greatest equipment.

Prescott is a similarly divisive quarterback who enjoys a devoted fan base as well as some who have the opposite opinion and think Prescott’s greatest work has already been seen on the field.
Prescott is one of the quarterbacks who has unanswered questions as the 2023 NFL season is now just two months away. Despite breaking out with the Dallas Cowboys, Prescott has had a decline in his reputation over the past two or more seasons, starting with his terrible ankle injury in the 2020 season.

In his seven seasons with Dallas, Prescott has only had one losing record, which occurred when he was 2-3 in the 2020 season before suffering an ankle injury and retiring from the game.
However, Prescott did lead the league in interceptions last season, and with backup quarterback Cooper Rush keeping things together and posting a stellar 4-1 record while Prescott was out with an injury, there have been demands for Rush to be given the opportunity to start.
Pollard and Zeke did what in the playoffs? Pollard got hurt btw so how the fuck could he contribute?
Ceedee is the only legit weapon that wasn’t hurt.
I never said the season was over lmao. Just making shit up.

On a recent edition of Speak, Fox Sports’ Joy Taylor remarked: “Dak Prescott is not that talented. He is capable of leading a group into the postseason.
“But we don’t have to talk about you as if you are a Super Bowl contender doing that. Get to an NFC Championship game. Dak has been the reason they have lost multiple years against the same team.”

Popular NFL analyst Colin Cowherd concurred in an episode of The Herd, adding: “Dak Prescott says ‘turning 30, there’s a real sense of urgency.'” Dak has urgency for the next two years and age doesn’t have anything to do with it. Less than a year away, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Michael Penix Jr., all ‘A’ prospects, may all end up in the NFC because all the potentially awful teams are mostly in the NFC.

“Dak is not young nor cheap, nor is he a superstar talent, and that’s how you win Super Bowls. He’s a reflection of his roster more than he elevates it. He is the longest-tenured quarterback for any team in the league and I know exactly what he is.”
“It is ridiculous to think he’s going to ‘pop’ this year. You don’t think Kirk Cousins is going to ‘pop’ this year because you know what Kirk Cousins is.”
This is Dak Prescott Team but let’s not disrespect Cooper Rush.. we wouldn’t be in this position if it wasn’t for him… Coop got my respect! let’s be grateful

Dallas had a successful offseason, signing experienced players Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore while also adding draft picks Mazi Smith and Luke Schoonmaker to the squad.
Many believe that this is the year in which Prescott has no justifications. He is equipped with offensive weapons, an O-line, a defence that will return the ball to him, and an offensive play-caller who will design the offence around his strengths.
