Baby Coming Soon: Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield Is Going To Be Dad, Announces Pregnancy With Wife Emily

The pair announced their simultaneous pregnancy in a joint Instagram post on Monday: Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily Mayfield are expecting a girl in April.

“We’ve been hiding a little something……..🤫👀,” they wrote. “But we are THRILLED to share that baby girl Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew in early April 2024!”

With their dog, Fergus, sitting in the sand, Baker and Emily were shown in the post on a Tampa beach. Emily was holding sonogram pictures.

A photo of the Goldendoodle Irish Setter rescue featured the phrase “Big Brother Fergus” on a bandana.

Emily was observing Mayfield from behind as he wore a cap with the word “Dad” on the front.

Several NFL players and WAGs congratulated Mayfield and Emily in the comments section.

“Ayyyeee!! Many congratulations to you all!Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wrote.

“Yayyyy!!! 😍 Congrats guys!!!💕💖,” wrote Brittany Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs.

The pair, who met in 2017 through a mutual friend, is expecting their first child together.

Emily previously admitted to ESPN that she wasn’t sure if she should follow Mayfield’s persistent approaches because “I was assuming he’d be the typical playboy athlete.”

Six months after their first date, the NFL player and the beauty influencer announced their engagement. On July 6, 2019, they were married in a magnificent wedding in Malibu.

A few months before he was chosen with the first overall choice by the Cleveland Browns in the NFL Draft in April of that same year, they were first made publically visible when they went to a Los Angeles Clippers game together in early 2018.
