“Ashamed and Utterly Disgusted” – NBA Analyst Stephen A. Smith Suggests a Punishment For UFC President Dana White After Altercation With Wife
On Monday night, a video surfaced depicting a violent argument between Dana White and Anne, his wife of 26 years. Dana and Anne were seen striking each other in the video, which was recorded on New Year’s Eve inside a bar in San Luca, Mexico. After what appears to be a verbal confrontation, Anne pulls back and smacks the UFC president across the face. Then, as payback, he hit her. Dana White has been urged by Stephen A. Smith to discipline himself for hitting his wife.
On Wednesday’s episode of First Take, the outspoken ESPN pundit expressed his opinion on the matter, arguing that if it had involved one of his athletes, the UFC president would have instantly dropped them from the company.

“Dana White knows that and all I can say is he has spoken out on men who put their hands on women before, and whatever punishment you would exact under these circumstances to somebody else is what he should apply to himself.”

Smith didn’t stop there; he also recommended that White should be subject to the same punishment as one of his UFC fighters who had been seen touching a woman. Beyond the camaraderie, another intriguing aspect of this scene is the fact that Smith is represented by Endeavor, the company that controls UFC.

The UFC has exclusive rights with ESPN, and earlier this week, former ESPN team member Dan Le Batard questioned if the network would hold White to account.
