Arkansas’ QB Kade Renfro Is Dropped From The Team Following Sexual Assault Charges

Kade Renfro, the squad’s quarterback, has left the football team, according to an announcement made by Arkansas Athletics on Thursday night in response to questions about him.

Arkansas’ QB Kade Renfro Is Dropped From The Team Following Sexual Assault Charges

This came after Renfro was accused seriously of assaulting and harassing many women over a long period of time by an anonymous Instagram account, which has since been removed.

Both the university’s administration and the Arkansas athletic department issued remarks in response to the choice.

“Upon gaining knowledge of the allegations against a student-athlete earlier this week, we immediately informed the University’s Title IX office of the allegations,” Arkansas’ athletic department said. “The student-athlete is no longer a member of the football team.”

Only a woman with several neck injuries and alleged assault and harassment were shown in the images. “Kade Renfro is a rapist!” was the name of the first account where the claims first appeared.

He is not facing any criminal charges yet.

At Stephenville High, where Renfro played football, Art Briles’ program saw success in Texas throughout the 1990s. While attending Florida State in 2019, Kendal Briles, Briles’s son, extended a scholarship offer to Renfro.

After the FSU coaching staff was sacked for the following season, Briles moved to Arkansas, and Renfro ended up signing with Ole Miss, where Kendal’s brother-in-law, Jeff Lebby, was the offensive coordinator. Renfro left the Rebels after one season and joined Arkansas, where he has played the past two seasons while missing 2022 due to injury.

A non-violent demonstration “for the 28+ women abused by Kade Renfro” is scheduled for Friday afternoon in front of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
