Brown’s remarks disparaging Clark provoked backlash on social media. The former wide receiver for the NFL has a well-established history of acting suspiciously; several accusations and off-field issues marred his otherwise prosperous professional career.

Talent, controversy, and legal issues have all been hallmarks of Brown’s career, with his off-field behavior sometimes overshadowing his on-field accomplishments.
