Anthony Davis ‘Unsure’ But ‘Hopeful’ of a Return Amidst Lakers’ Thrashing by Phoenix Suns
Los Angeles Lakers are having a disappointing season, to say the least. Conference leaders, Phoenix Suns, recently thrashed them by 29 points, despite LeBron James’ 31 point game. James has been under immense pressure to carry the Lakers this season without much support from others. Westbrook has been struggling with his form, while Anthony Davis is out injured.
However, Davis has some vital updates for Lakers fans on his return to action. Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is optimistic that he will be able to play in the team’s last 15 games of the 2021-22 season.
However, Anthony Davis can’t say for sure if he’ll play for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, but he’s confident that his right foot’s mid-foot sprain will heal in time for a return.
Anthony Davis is hopeful of a return this season
Davis, who had a sprained foot in February, is expected to return to the court on Monday. He’ll likely start with spot shooting and work his way up from there. While this does not ensure that he will be able to participate in the Lakers’ remaining games, it is unquestionably a positive step forward for the big man.

“I’m very optimistic about it,” Davis said. “I’m trying to get back on the court as soon as possible. As far as a number or something, I would love to say 100 but with only a certain amount of games yet, not 100 percent sure.”
“When it first happened, I heard the crunching, like everything in my foot. And the first thing I heard, when I looked up and I just saw either Royce O’Neale or Donovan Mitchell turn around [and say], like, ‘Oh s—.’ And when I looked down, and I couldn’t move my foot, my first thought was, ‘Please let it not be broken.'”
For what it’s worth, AD has stated that he is confident about his chances of returning to play this season. Nonetheless, with only a few games remaining for the club, he confessed he can’t declare it’s a “100 percent” guarantee. The Lakers just have a little over a dozen games remaining following their game against the Phoenix Suns, as previously stated.
Given that Anthony Davis is only recently returning to on-court activities, it will not be shocking if he returns in the final few games, if at all.
