Angel Reese Will Return To Her LSU Team After Missing Games And All The Controversy

After having her wings clipped, Angel Reese will soon return.

Since she was benched in the second half of LSU’s victory over Kent State on November 14, the defending national champion has been strangely absent from the starting lineup.

Reese is back with the squad, LSU head coach Kim Mulkey stated on Wednesday.

Mulkey had placed Reese on suspension in order to do an “attitude adjustment,” according to earlier reports from OutKick.

In time for Thursday night’s highly anticipated primetime ESPN match between No. 7 LSU and No. 9 Virginia Tech, Reese is making his comeback.

Reese has failed to win against Texas Southern, Southeastern Louisiana, Niagara, and Virginia.

Reese’s close friend Kateri Poole, a senior guard at LSU, has also missed the team’s last four games. Other than sharing cryptic comments on social media, Reese has not spoken much about her absence.

She shared a video on TikTok last week featuring a snippet of Deion Sanders speaking at a news conference in Colorado in August of last year.

In the video, Sanders said, “Look at me.”

“What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me? Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me so you can’t break me.”

Regarding the cause of Reese’s absence, Mulkey has often refrained from commenting.

On November 20, Mulkey responded to a question regarding Reese by telling reporters, “You always have to deal with locker room issues.”

“What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me? Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me so you can’t break me.”
