Angel Reese Took A Break From LSU’s Game To Take Care Of Her ‘Mental Health’

During the Tigers’ 82-64 victory over Virginia Tech, LSU basketball player Angel Reese made a huge comeback, scoring 19 points and pulling down nine rebounds.

After missing the first four games, Reese—who was named MVP of the previous season’s Final Four—cited her absence as a “reset” for her mental health.

“My mental health is the most important thing before anything,” Reese noted.

“And I’m going to make sure I’m OK before anything. Because I don’t want to cause anything, any harm or any cancer within the locker room.”

Kim Mulkey, the coach at LSU, made reference to “locker room issues” but did not specifically state that there would be a suspension.

“Mental health? I don’t want you to think Angel was trying to tell you that, OK,” Mulkey said.

“But we all, coaches included, have to take a deep breath sometimes.”

Again, Angel Reese shines like a star.

Reese proved her mettle on the court and made a big contribution to LSU’s 8-1 record. She has made almost 1.7 million dollars through Name, Image, and Likeness deals in the past year.
