In the moments after divorcing Nikki Sapp, the head coach of the Miami Heat Erik Spoelstra agreed to a $120 million extension.
Many admirers of Sapp took to social media to harass her, prying into details of her private life that she felt weren’t appropriate for the public to know about.
In response to the breach of privacy, she posted an impassioned statement on Instagram on Friday.

“It’s hurtful to see how cruel people can be, judging the character and integrity of others while knowing nothing about them.
“What they do, how they spend their time, how/when/whom they’ve loved, how they raise their children, a person’s general life journey, and where they’ve come from.”
She claimed that in addition to trying to tune out the noise made by admirers, she is working hard to embrace the next stage of her life.

Sapp recently tweeted a troll’s “way to fumble the bag” remark again to highlight the harassment she was subjected to.
Sapp wrote, “I’m a person, not a character or robot.”
“I get why “celebrities” have to turn their brains off to this stuff.
“And I see how celebrities and regular people alike could easily succumb to the sadness that these “keyboard warriors” want them to feel.”
