Allen Lazard Wide Receiver : Fantasy Data Speculations 2022
With Davante Adams gone from his position as WR1 on the Green Bay Packers, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling leaving for the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s time for someone to work with Aaron Rodgers to connect and complete some good passes. That person may very well be undrafted free agent Allen Lazard, according to fantasy football speculations.

There is quite a bit of opportunity that has opened up in the Green Bay passing game this season. The Packers are missing the fifth-most targets and sixth-highest target percentage from 2021. Potential opportunity will not be a problem for Lazard, and he has a great chance of high share percentages. Adams and Valdes-Scantling represented almost 40% of the targets thrown by Rodgers to all pass-catchers last season.
Even though the Packers added Sammy Watkins to the mix, drafted both Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, and still have Aaron Jones as an opportunity for a running back to receive more, it is Allen Lazard who is expected to attract the bulk of those targets and take the leap into the coveted role of Aaron Rodgers number one wide receiver.

Lazard was able to carve out a very valuable role with the Packers, even with Adams and MVS on board last year. Lazard scored eight touchdowns last season and was a top-20 wide receiver in red zone targets, red zone touchdowns, and he ranked fourth among all wide receivers in fantasy points per target in 2021. Lazard also had a much higher touchdown rate in their absences throughout the season. And even when they are on the field, Lazard is often ranked as a top-20 wide receiver.

According to all these things, Allen Lazard has a high chance of recording career-high stats as he’s poised to step it up and make it big for the Green Bay Packers this upcoming season as their number one wide receiver, among all the other fantasy football speculations around him.
