“Allegedly This, Allegedly That….”- Jorge Masvidal Pleads Innocence in Felony Case Agianst ‘F**king Coward’ Colby Covington

Jorge Masvidal has been in the UFC for close to a decade now. During that time, ‘Gamebred’ has competed against some of the very best in two weight classes and has even competed for UFC gold on two separate occasions. However, in 2021 at UFC 272, Masvidal entered the octagon in arguably his most important fight against former friend and training partner Colby Covington.

The fight against Covington was definitely not the most important for Masvidal from a career point of view, but it was extremely important for ‘Gamebred’ from a personal point of view given the history they had between them and how badly he wanted to secure the win. Unfortunately, it did not play out this way for Masvidal as he fell short in his fight against Covington and was dominated from the very first minute of the fight.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Masvidal shared his thoughts on his recent altercation against Colby Covington outside a restaurant a few days after their fight at UFC 273. He said, “Allegedly this, allegedly that. But I’m innocent, not guilty. I’m facing three felonies if you want to know the exact truth. And yeah, it’s still pending. This guy’s a coward f***, so what could I expect from a coward f*** like him?”

When asked about his potential date of return, Masvidal said, “I’m in the justice system, right, so it’s not like I get to make these calls. So I want to say I’ll be OK. I’m a positive person and I’ve got my faith in a good outcome, but I’m still facing three felonies.”

Jorge Masvidal to compete in the UFC before the end of this year?

Given the situation he finds himself in, Masvidal might not enter the UFC octagon anytime soon. The ‘BMF’ champion will have to wait till his verdict is out for him to plan his next moves in the UFC.

Colby Covington

Unfortunately, the current scenario does not seem to favor him at all. The common consensus is that ‘Gamebred’ will face time behind bars for his assault on Colby Covington.
