Conor McGregor is the biggest star in MMA and might just be the biggest star in combat sports at the moment. Over the past few years, Conor McGregor’s fame has transcended the sport of MMA. ‘The Notorious’ has been seen everywhere from fashion shows, to talk shows and everything in between mingling with A-list celebrities and elites from the world of business.
While things have not been going well for him inside the octagon, things outside the octagon have picked up the pace for McGregor. Recently, the former two-division champions stated that he would be making his Hollywood debut in a movie titled ‘Road House’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. It is reported that McGregor did not want anything that would move his focus away from fighting, but once he learned that he was being considered for his movie, ‘The Notorious’ watched the original movie and decided this was the perfect fit for him.

As always, in true Conor McGregor style, ‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter to rub his success in his rivals’ faces. He tweeted saying, “All these little twerps wanna be actors now. Little twerps, There’s Only One Mac Daddy. Bad to the bone but with a good heart. Action with Jake gyl or Rom com with Sarah Jessica. Bisping, member that show you were in. Ye me neither #littledopes #nowwhat #cinemahouse.”
Conor McGregor to make his return to the UFC in 2023?
McGregor then went on to post another tweet, saying, “Stay out of my acting game. I’ll smash your jaw in.” Which was met by a response from long-time rival Nate Diaz, “Why are you acting like you can still fight. Actor.”

Given that McGregor will be shooting for a movie, he will most definitely not compete this year. The common consensus is that McGregor will return to action in the first half of 2023. It will be interesting to see who he faces on his return. Will it be in the UFC for the title or will it be in a boxing ring? Only time will tell. Needless to say, whatever ‘The Notorious’ decides to pursue, it will be a massive success.
