After Kyrie Irving’s Flat Earth Theory, NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal Comes up with an Absurd Take on Moon, Gets Slammed by Charles Barkley

What about Shaq’s multiple-moon notion? We’ve heard of Kyrie Irving’s flat-Earth theory. Some individuals take their views extremely seriously, and they are supported by incredibly compelling reasoning and data. However, some people just have a certain belief and then come up with absurd justifications for it. On Inside The NBA, Shaquille O’Neal recently presented his own ludicrously bizarre opinion, but he was more kidding than anything else. Shaquille O’Neal’s antics on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” are back at it again.

Shaq related a tale about once driving around Auburn at night. He observed the moon on his left side while he was driving. The moon emerged behind the large guy as he changed his path. He came to the conclusion that there are several moons. After admitting that he thinks the Earth has more than one moon, Shaquille O’Neal misled people.

Shaquille O’Neal gets slammed by Charles Barkley for a recent take on moon

“I have a new theory. There’s more than one moon. The other day I was riding, past Auburn as a matter of fact, and the moon was on the left. I keep going straight then making the turns and about 20 minutes later the moon was behind me. There’s more than one moon,” O’Neal said.

It appears like the moon is moving because the orbits of the moon and the Earth interact in various ways. Shaq isn’t being serious, but anyone who has spent time gazing at the moon understands exactly what he’s talking about. The odd hypothesis Shaquille O’Neal came up with made his co-hosts laugh.

“That’s because it was moving, fool,” Charles Barkley responded.

On their decades-long run as one of the most-watched NBA shows on television, the TNT team has provided us with the kind of outrageous entertainment we’ve come to anticipate.
