After Enduring False Rape Accusations, Matt Araiza Is Now Ready To Countersue The People Who Caused Him The Damage

Prosecutors apparently discovered that former Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza was not there during the alleged gang rape that he was suspected of taking part in with two of his football teammates that took place in October 2021 at a party close to San Diego State’s campus.

According to the lawsuit, Araiza had uninvited intercourse with the girl while she was unconscious after being shoved “face first” into a bed. She exited the room bleeding and in tears, according to the lawsuit, after an hour and a half of it.

The fact that Araiza purportedly “left” the residence where the party was being held at roughly 12:30 a.m. was the most compelling piece of proof that he wasn’t involved. The alleged encounter, according to the prosecution, happened one hour later.

After winning the competition during training camp in August of last year, Araiza was added to the 53-man roster of the Bills as the team’s punter. All of that changed, though, when the rookie, known as the “Punt God” for his prowess in that aspect of football, was implicated in a civil complaint that included graphic details of a group rape of a 17-year-old female who was under the influence of alcohol.

After his college performances, Ariaza earned the title  “Punt God”. He was third among all NCAA punters in 2021 with 79 punts. He led the NCAA in punting yards in 2021 with an average of 51.2 yards.

Despite the December announcement that charges would not be pursued, Araiza was released by the Bills following the claim and has yet to be signed by another league team.

Former Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza is coming up after his career was destroyed by unfounded claims that he participated in a gang rape.

Araiza said “damage” resulting from the claims “was done.” Nevertheless, he is prepared to fight back to hold those who made the false charges accountable. Araiza didn’t give in the past, and now that the truth is on his side, he is resisting.

“The damage has been done,” Araiza told Tomi, “and if I was to settle, that would waive my right to countersue.

He added, “At this point, we’re the heavy favorite, and continuing this any longer is going to be very damaging for them. So I’m not willing to settle.”
