AFC Wild Card Games 2024 To Be Affected By Chilled Weather
When the Miami Dolphins play the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium next week, they will leave the comforts of their home turf in South Beach behind because the weather is not going to be as they thought it would.
AFC Wild Card Games 2024 To Be Affected By Chilled Weather
The Dolphins lost their regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, which prevented them from winning the AFC East. The Chiefs and Miami will now play in the wild-card round.
The Dolphins will, regrettably, not be experiencing typical weather, as the forecast calls for a low of 0 degrees on Saturday.

Since the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Detroit Lions all play under domes, they won’t be disturbed. According to Yahoo Weather, there is a 58% chance of precipitation for Monday night’s Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, however temperatures will range from a high of 70 to a low of 62. It shouldn’t be too awful, but a downpour may make things differently.
Extreme cold is forecasted for Kansas City
Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes, two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, should have a great game against the Dolphins. But both offenses might be hampered by the weather.
For Kansas City on Saturday, Yahoo Weather predicts a high of 16 and a low of -2. If the prediction holds true, the temperature will likely be closer to below zero during kickoff, which is planned for 7 p.m. in Kansas City—nearly two hours after sunset.

Although there is very little probability of precipitation, wind will be crucial. A temperature of about zero combined with a strong wind will make things extremely difficult for both offenses.
The Chiefs will be attempting to take advantage of the fact that they have had time to acclimate to Kansas City’s frigid climate as they start their run for another Super Bowl. With two victories against the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers to wrap up the season, the Chiefs want to carry over their winnings into the wild-card round.

Potential bad weather in Buffalo too
There’s always a chance for inclement weather when the Bills have a home playoff game.
The Steelers and Bills are scheduled to start off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, but it appears that they will have to play through some bad weather. According to Yahoo Weather, there is a good possibility of snow and a high of 25 degrees. There is a 63% probability of precipitation in the forecast. Buffalo is under a strong wind warning for the middle of the workweek, and according to Weather Channel, Sunday’s gusts are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph.

Offenses are more affected by strong winds than by cold or moisture. High winds, chilly temperatures, and precipitation might result in a low-scoring contest.
