Adam Peaty’s ex comments on his alcoholism as he dates Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly

Following his fight with alcoholism, swimmer Adam Peaty’s former girlfriend has spoken up, and the swimmer is now moving on with Gordon Ramsay’s daughter.

Throughout his illustrious career in the water, Peaty, 29, has won an incredible amount of medals, including three golds from the Olympics.

In the 100-meter breaststroke, he had eight straight wins from 2014 to 2022. After that, he took a vacation from swimming to concentrate on his mental well-being.

In May 2022, Peaty fractured his foot. Two months later, he was pushed back for the Commonwealth Games, where he performed among his lowest ever.

He battled the disintegration of his relationship with his now ex-partner, Eirianedd Munro, the mother of his newborn son, following the Games.

His ex-girlfriend has now disclosed that she moved on from the celebrity who has struggled with alcoholism and despair.

She stated to MailOnline: “I’ve chosen to forgive and move forward – anything other than that does not serve the wellbeing of myself, my son and our family.

“We continue to love, care and pray for Adam and are wishing him a full recovery.”

When Peaty was training in Loughborough in 2019, she met Miss Munro on Tinder. She was a student there, and their son George was born in September 2020.

Nonetheless, they had a contentious breakup in August 2022, and he disclosed last week that he had gone through “three years of hell” throughout their relationship.

The 24-year-old Holly Ramsay, the daughter of renowned TV chef Gordon Ramsay, is the woman he is presently seeing.

As her sister Tilly was competing with him on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, the Olympic champion initially fell in love with Holly.

In June of last year, less than a year after the swimmer’s breakup with Eiri, Holly revealed that they were dating.

Furthermore, Peaty appears to have moved past his setbacks as he qualified for the Olympics on Tuesday by taking first place in the British 100m men’s breaststroke championship.

After overcoming drunkenness and depression to earn a spot in the Olympic Games, the swimmer said on Tuesday that he had discovered “peace in the water”.

Following the occasion, when asked if he felt like his best self again, Peaty responded as follows: “I think so. A 57.9 is very good, still not where I want to be, but the first solid result where I am like, ‘Oh, not many people can do this’.

“I felt so light in the water. This is a real win for my team, my family and myself.

“We have come through the past three years of hell. I didn’t want to see a pool again. The sport had broken me.

He added: “For me, that was a great swim, executed well – but the most promising thing is that I’m finding peace in the water now, instead of anger and just fighting it, and trying to win like that.

“I’m finding a new version of myself which I’m really liking, and I think that’s a version that can do really well at the Olympics.”

Peaty set a new record for fastest time since the 2021 Olympics with his qualifying mark of 57.94 seconds.

As she posted images and videos from the event on Instagram, Holly also praised Peaty, writing in the comment that his tenacity was “inspiring to all.”

What she wrote in the caption: “Packing my bags and I’ll see you in Paris. You never fail to amaze me.

“Your determination, physical and mental strength is inspiring to all. Well done my love.”

He is an Olympic Legend

Peaty, however, has remained forthright and honest about his struggles with mental health throughout his professional life.

Peaty had been candid in the past on his connection to drink.

2020 saw the British star disclose that following the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he became addicted to alcohol.

At the time, he stated: “I kind of, not went off the rails, but I didn’t really have that overwhelming motivation to perform at something

“I have found that thankfully now. I know exactly how to treat my body, how to treat my mind, and it’s not by forcing alcohol as much as you can.”
