Aaron Rodgers Won Back-to-Back MVPs – Does History Backup a Third Consecutive MVP For the Packers QB?
Aaron Rodgers, the Packers quarterback, now holds the record for most Associated Press Most Valuable Individual honors in NFL history, one more than any other player or club.
At the NFL Honors presentation, Rodgers received his second consecutive and fourth overall AP MVP awards, making him only the second player since the award’s introduction in 1957 to do so. It’s also the 10th MVP award that a Packers player has received, the most from any one club.
Peyton Manning, a former Colts and Broncos quarterback, received five MVP awards, including two back-to-backs in 2003–04 and 2008–09. Rodgers is the first player to win the MVP in consecutive seasons since Manning and just the fifth overall.

But three MVPs in a row? That is absolutely different. In 2022, might Rodgers win three consecutive MVPs?
Players to win three consecutive MVPs
Well, it’s not ‘players’, but a ‘player’. Because Brett Favre is the only player ever to win the back-to-back-to-back MVPs. Between 1995 and 1997, he was named three times in a row. Favre was voted the league’s “Most Valuable Player” for an amazing third time straight in just his sixth season as a starter.
With 35 touchdowns, Favre led the league for the third straight year and continued his remarkable, albeit irregular, productivity in 1997. His Packers finished 13-3 and took home a third consecutive NFC Central Division title. He not only had the third-best passer rating in the NFC and led the league in touchdown passes, but he also led the conference in completions and passing yards.
Aaron Rodgers to equal Brett Favre’s 3 consecutive MVPs record?
In a period of 11 seasons, Rodgers has won four MVP awards, the first being in 2011 and the subsequent three coming in 2014 and the most recent two seasons. Along with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, he joins them as the only players to earn the MVP award 10 or more seasons apart.

He is a quarterback who will go down in history and who consistently makes those around him better. But there’s no denying that his arsenal has changed from the previous two seasons.
