“Aaron Rodgers’ Use of Ayahuasca…..”- The NFL Breaks Its Silence on Aaron Rodger’s Confession of Consuming Psychedelics Prior to Games Last Season

A few days ago, Green Bay Packer’s quarterback and NFL legend, Aaron Rodgers admitted to using psychedelics last year prior to games and credited those psychedelics for what turned out to be one of his best careers in the NFL.

In an interview with Aubrey Marcus, he said, “We talk so much about mental health. Marshawn Lynch had a classic retirement press conference talking about taking care of your mentals. We talk so much about mental health, and to me one of the core tenants of your mental health is self-love.”

Rodgers continued, “That’s what ayahuasca did for me. It helped me see how to unconditionally love myself. It’s only in that unconditional self-love that I’m truly able to unconditionally love others. What better way to work on my mental health than to have an experience like that. The greatest gift I can give my teammates is to show up and be someone who can model unconditional love to them. Obviously, it’s important I play well and show up and lead all that stuff. But they won’t care about what you say until they know how much you care.”

A few hours back, the NFL made a public statement regarding Rodgers and his use of psychedelics prior to a game. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, “NFL said that Aaron Rodgers’ use of ayahuasca does not violate its drug policy.”

Aaron Rodgers finds himself in yet another controversy

During his time in the NFL, Rodgers has been notoriously controversial, which has only increased more recently. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rodgers made his stance well known on the vaccine and refused to take it which caused a lot of backlash from fans that branded him ‘irresponsible’ and ‘misinformed’

With his most recent revelation, fans were left wondering if his actions violate the NFL’s policy which would result in him being suspended from the game. However, the NFL’s statement means that Rodgers is free to indulge in his ayahuasca practices.
