Aaron Judge Says “It’s A Long Way To Win” Up Against Astros
Aaron Judge recounted what had always been the Yankees‘ October journey while standing next to puddles of champagne that had overflowed during the loud postgame celebration.
Aaron Judge said over the clamour of the clubhouse, “You kind of have to go through Houston to get to a World Series.”

The AL Championship Series is underway, and after a wild pinstriped ride that started in March, the rested Houston Astros are ready to face the buzzed-up Yankees.

And then there’s that scrumptious little side story about stolen championships, tainted titles, and the Yankees’ determination to exact revenge on the Astros.
The American League Championship Series will feature the New York Yankees. On Tuesday, they prevailed 5-1 in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Cleveland Guardians. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, two Yankees sluggers, both hit home runs in the victory. After the victory, the team celebrated in the locker room. Aaron Judge wasn’t quite ready to go all out in his joy, though.

Aaron Judge was questioned regarding what appeared to be a quiet celebration in the clubhouse.
“We have plans, plans, plans. Although we will undoubtedly celebrate and savour this occasion, a significant series will begin the following day. We must board this flight and depart immediately”, remarked Judge.
The next question was how much alcohol the team would consume on Tuesday night. “You just saw it; that’s about it,” Aaron judge retorted curtly.

Houston will present a difficult obstacle for the Yankees. In their ALDS matchup, the Astros easily defeated the young Seattle Mariners. Beyond that, they have been Judge’s biggest rival ever since he joined the league. Although the Yankees prevailed against the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the AL Division Series, they chose not to emphasise their desire for vengeance against Houston.

After a 5-1 victory in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium, Aaron Judge stated, “We’ve got to treat it like any other series.” We must go in there with our game and take care of business because (the Astros) have one of the top teams in baseball.”

In 2017 and 2019, the Astros defeated the Yankees in the ALCS. Houston will have come within four victories of the American League championship for the sixth straight season in 2022. That is simply amazing. After winning 106 games during the regular season, seven more than the Yankees, Houston gets the home-field advantage.
So more than celebration, the Yankees are more focused on the next competition they are up against.
