Aaliyah Kikumoto, the Masters Girl, struggled to regain viral attention at the tournament

It’s the return of the widely popular Masters Girl.

Aaliyah Kikumoto, the 20-year-old Texas Tech dancer who gained notoriety while competing at the event the previous year, made a return visit to Augusta National with her family. She wore her green Master’s hat, a white skirt, and Nike sneakers, matching her 2023 attire at the course.

After being seen watching the action at the 16th hole last year, Kikumoto gained notoriety as the Masters Girl, and her presence on social media captured the attention of many.

However, following Kikumoto’s ascent to prominence this year—which included a model offer, social media attention, and NIL deals—things were a little different.

According to her father Charles Kikumoto, Kikumoto missed her journey to Augusta because of airline delays, and her bags went missing. She was meeting her family at the Masters after flying from her school in Lubbock, he told OutKick.

“As you can imagine there are no direct flights from Lubbock to Augusta, so our daughter had to fly from Lubbock to Dallas to Charlotte to Augusta and was supposed to land just before midnight on Friday night — also on American Airlines,” he said. “Her flight in Dallas gets delayed with issues (not weather related) so she misses her flight to Augusta.  She gets a text that she is rebooked from Charlotte to Augusta on Sunday versus being there as originally booked on Friday night.

“So it is Saturday morning and Masters Girl is now here on Augusta grounds and with a couple hours of sleep we can’t complain.”

Denver native Kikumoto, a member of the Texas Tech Pom Squad, embraced her newfound celebrity when she had the opportunity to be on video at the 2023 Masters at Augusta National with her father.

The brunette became viral on social media after she was spotted watching Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm at the 16th Tee Box last year.

Following that, the student-athlete signed with model management and mentoring company BSX Media, which had previously announced her as a new client in April of last year.

As an ambassador for Prime, the energy drink created by online celebrities Logan Paul, the WWE United States champion, and KSI, Kikumoto presently has over 42,000 Instagram followers.
