The previous golf coach’s identity was not mentioned in the study or provided by the institution.
According to the report, the golf coach wagered $9,259 on 253 occasions over the course of four months in 2020. There were 107 on NCAA events and six on Air Force football games. According to the investigation, he opened an account for online gambling using his then-girlfriend’s identification and his own personal email address.

Furthermore, the Air Force men’s ice hockey team was sanctioned for a recruitment infraction. According to the allegation, two assistant coaches spoke with a student-athlete who was considering transferring but had not yet registered with the NCAA transfer site.
Air Force earned three extra years of probation, which will be completed when the school’s probationary sentence from a previous violations case expires. The school’s probationary term has been extended until September 2027.

It failed, resulting in the severe sentence. In February of last year, the compliance department became aware of the internet behavior. He is no longer employed at the school.
According to Darren Rovell of Action Network, the coach “created an account in his girlfriend’s name,” then proceeded to put roughly $10,000 in bets. That $10,000 was split among almost 250 wagers.

Rovell claims that 42% of the 253 bets were on college sports, including the Air Force football squad. While sports betting is allowed in Colorado, college coaches are not permitted to bet on NCAA athletics.
In all, $9,259 was gambled over 253 bets. This works out to around $36.60 per ticket. It’s not worth losing a college coaching position over.
