Valentina Renso, racing driver and influencer, dies in Italy crash while fetching pizza with friends

Three days following serious injuries sustained in a terrifying vehicle accident, an influencer passed away in the hospital.

When their vehicle drove off a straight stretch of road, racing driver Valentina Renso, 26, and her two companions were on their way to eat pizza.

Valentina and her two pals were extracted from the wrecked BMW by first responders who raced to the site.

With minor injuries, the young woman in the back seat was sent to A&E, and Renso and the young man in the front passenger seat were taken to the hospital.

An injury to her leg resulted in significant blood loss and a cessation of brain activity for the motor-loving social media celebrity.

Three days after the collision on Saturday night, May 11, she passed away in a Padua, Italy, hospital on Tuesday, May 14.

Demis Quagliato, her bereaved boyfriend, stated: “We were supposed to meet up with some friends to have pizza outdoors, as we did regularly.

“We temporarily parted ways. She was going to pick up the pizzas in the car with our two friends, and I would join them later.

“We never spoke again.”

Renso, who had over 19,000 Instagram followers, was a resident of San Giovanni Lupatoto in Verona, according to Need To Know.

The motor racing community accounted for a large portion of her fan base.

In her Instagram account, the youthful racer identified herself as “the racing driver with the orange hair” and stated that she wanted to “create an all-female team.”

Her page included photos of her driving and wearing racing apparel.

Quagliato stated: “Valentina wasn’t a reckless girl. She always had her head on her shoulders.

“She knew how to drive cars, and she never did it just for fun.”

He also stated: “She was generous, she couldn’t stop helping others, dedicating herself to them when they needed it.

“If she could, she would have given herself completely to the people she loved.”
