Fans have been anticipating how the college rivals would seem together on the court ever since the Chicago Sky surprised the basketball world by selecting Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese, their new “twin towers,” in the first round of the WNBA Draft. Following the first day of WNBA training camp, they tested their chemistry in a video released by the Sky.

Reese is seen in the video playing more of a perimeter position, handling the ball and distributing, while Cardoso is seen rolling to the rim and finishing layups. In one sequence, she set up her Brazilian colleague for a layup, leaving Chicago supporters hankering after more of the potent duo.

Since high school, the two first-round selections have been in competition with one another. At the NCAA level, when Reese’s LSU and Cardoso’s South Carolina both won national titles, they carried on the rivalry. It’s a change from slamming into each other in the paint booth to collaborate, but the results thus far are encouraging.

Not to mention, Chi Barbie’s energy was palpable in the video, demonstrating the intangibles that led Sky decide to select her with the seventh overall decision in the draft. Despite still being a rookie, she led by example by motivating her teammates and providing loud cheers from the sidelines.

When is the inaugural Chicago Sky game happening?
