Internet abuzz over Caitlin Clark and Zach Edey’s height contrast in viral photo Posted on April 15, 2024 by Alexa Connes Although two of the biggest names in college basketball have played their final NCAA games, fans were given one more chance to capture a moment in time with a final photo opportunity. At this weekend’s Wooden Awards in Los Angeles, Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark and Purdue Boilermakers center Zach Edey shared a photo together. Fans were immediately astounded by the startling height difference between the greatest scorer in college basketball history and the most dominant big man in the league. However, Edey makes Clark appear considerably smaller in comparison; in a widely shared picture, the Purdue star clearly looms over her. Edey is described as being 7’4″ tall and 300 pounds in weight. These physical attributes allowed him to dominate the NCAA this season and lead Purdue to the verge of a national championship. Still, Clark’s stock could not be higher. As her fame grows, she is anticipated to play her first professional game in mid-May. She will be the #1 overall pick in this Wednesday night’s WNBA Draft. Similar to Edey, Clark was not able to end her collegiate career with a championship, but she does have Wooden and Naismith awards in her trophy cabinet. 📸 | jason sudeikis, caitlin clark, zach edey, camden heide, mason gillis, fletcher loyer, jared wulbrun, carson barrett and braden smith at the wooden awards in la last night [via sm1thb on ig] pic.twitter.com/Eakzc1jA51 — Jason Sudeikis Updates (@SudeikisNews) April 13, 2024 Caitlin Clark having Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Jada Gyamfi on the SNL stage with her was just peak everything that is so special about this @IowaWBB group.
