Mac Jones Reveals His Rapping Hobby Now That He Is Not A Patriots
In a video posted by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mac Jones’ new employers, he was clearly overjoyed to be cut by the New England Patriots. It’s not personal against the Patriots, although it’s hard to blame Jones for running away from the intense pressures of the post-Tom Brady world.

However, it seemed as though Jones was suggesting that his leaving Foxborough would allow him to return to one of his admittedly surprising side interests—rapping.
In a TikTok video promoting his new Jaguars squad, the former Patriots quarterback opened up about some of his favorite activities and seemed to disparage New England while talking about his rapping skills.

“I don’t really have too many,” Jones began when asked about his hobbies. “I like to golf a little bit. I like to go fishing. I like to be on the beach. I like to do a little bit of rapping.”
Jones, an Alabama native who was previously selected in the first round, joined the Patriots in 2021 and had a successful debut season, going 10-7 and making the playoffs.
Traded to the Jaguars, Mac Jones ended his difficult tenure as a Patriots starter.
During Jones’ second season, things rapidly got out of hand as the Patriots, headed by Matt Patricia and Joe Judge, who took over for veteran coordinator Josh McDaniels, adjusted to a new system. Jones is from Jacksonville.

“At the Combine, we reported the Patriots plan: Sign a veteran backup, trade Mac Jones and draft a QB.
We haven't heard anything to suggest that's changed.

Despite the fact that Bill O’Brien led the Patriots’ offense in the previous season, Jones was kept off the field throughout every game in 2023 until Bailey Zappe, the backup quarterback, finally took over at the end of the campaign.
New England underwent a massive overhaul to start the year, with longtime head coach Bill Belichick parting ways with the team after 24 seasons and six Super Bowl wins.
Although there is no proof supporting Jones’ claims, it makes plausible that he would have had little time or motivation to rape while under the strict supervision of the uncompromising Bill Belichick.

His reportedly desired return to Jacksonville should provide him with an opportunity to debut a fresh cadence.
If anything, it seems like Mac’s 2024 season would be characterized by a headset: the fourth-year player, who was traded to the Jaguars earlier in the summer, will be Trevor Lawrence’s primary backup in 2024.
There won’t be much time to wait for a reunion for New England because they are scheduled to visit Duval County later this fall.
