Kate Abdo, CBS Sports host, preps for major Misfits debut with boyfriend Malik Scott’s training

Following her coaching by lover Malik Scott, Kate Abdo is set to make her big Misfits Boxing debut.

As a devoted fitness enthusiast, Abdo started working out with former heavyweight fighter Scott in Los Angeles.

The two soon made their relationship known to the public, and the CBS Sports host has hinted at a possible boxing career.

That means Misfits, the venue for celebrity-style crossover fights, is primed to strike a contract for the former Sky host.

When asked whether Abdo, 42, could “make that move to Misfits Boxing,” Mams Taylor, a co-founder of the organization, merely answered, “Yes.”

The latest media attention around Abdo and Scott’s friendship came from a live TV comment made by Liverpool great Jamie Carragher.

“Not to Malik,” Carragher joked when Kate Abdo declared her allegiance to her beloved Manchester United, which made her wonder, “Why would you even ask that?”

Fans of the bad joke were cringing at the encounter as it quickly went viral on social media.

However, Scott was one of the people who did not find the joke humorous at all and advised Carragher not to say anything similar in the future.

He stated to Lord Ping: “It was a very minute thing, but her being irritated by it a little bit is what really got to me.

“Him just saying it and being that guy who always makes those picking at you jokes wasn’t really a big deal to me at all. It’s only a big deal if Kate is upset.

“If Kate gets upset then it’s a really big deal to me and I’ll give him a call and if he doesn’t pick up my call, then I’ll show up in a physical manner so we can talk like men, so that’s not something you should continue to do.

“But I think Jamie apologised, not just to Kate but to the team, and one thing you can’t do is knock a man who admits he was wrong. In that regard I have high respect for him.”
