Gisele Bundchen opens up about her struggles with depression and panic episodes: “eating terrible all day”

Despite leading a glamorous and opulent life, Gisele Bundchen is sharing her personal hardships in the hopes that her remarks can encourage someone going through a similar experience.

Throughout her career, the model has never been far from the news, particularly since her divorce from Tom Brady back in 2022.

However, Bundchen has always presented herself in the best possible light, and in a recent appearance on “The View,” she talked candidly about how she has struggled with depression and panic attacks.

“I had no idea it was correlated with my lifestyle, and food was a big part of it,” Speaking on her early 20s and the benefits of altering her diet, Bundchen stated.

“I wasn’t really paying attention. I was just going 100 miles an hour.”

She described it as “one of the worst times of [her] life” and said she didn’t know what to do despite seeing numerous professionals over the course of a year and a half.

That all changed, though, when she began visiting a naturopathic physician.

“He said to me, ‘Gisele, we have to change your diet,'” she remembered. “And I was like, ‘Diet? What does that have to do with panic attacks?’ And he’s like, ‘No, it has everything to do with it.'”

Bundchen realized something.

During that period of her life, Gisele stated that she was smoking, consuming coffee, and “eating terrible all day,” all of which were “destroying [her] health and creating the condition [she] was in.”

“Everything changed,” she mentioned that her diet had changed. “I became a different person. I started practicing meditation. I started practicing yoga. I started practicing breath work. It was a long journey.

“Food, for me, is medicine.”
