Taylor, 27, was taken into custody by US marshals in Utah on Thursday night in response to a Nashville police indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. In February 2023, Taylor is charged with poisoning Jade Benning.

Benning passed away on March 6, 2023, her 25th birthday, and on February 27, 2023, her 5-month-old fetus—which Taylor is thought to have fathered—passed away.

On February 25, Benning was taken to the hospital by ambulance after Taylor contacted 911 to report that Benning was experiencing an allergic reaction. Her health rapidly deteriorated, and before she passed away, she was unable to communicate with the authorities.

Taylor was taken into jail by U.S. Marshals after “months of investigation, led by Homicide Unit Detective Adam Reese, and involving scientists from the crime lab and doctors from the Medical Examiner’s Office,” according to the article.

Although Taylor has the right to be believed innocent until and until proven guilty, it is still unknown when he will appear in court.

Taylor was employed by the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, where he progressed within the pro scouting division. He is listed in the Texas A&M directory as an employee and began working for Utah State in 2023 as a senior defensive analyst.

Longtime college coach Trooper Taylor, who is Taylor’s father, has became an assistant head coach and running backs coach at Texas A&M, reporting to new head coach Mike Elko.

Trooper coached defensive backs at Arkansas State, where Taylor started all four years of his career. As a defensive back and a punt returner, Blaise was named to the first team of the Sun Belt and held the position of captain.

He departed as the Sun Belt’s all-time leader in passes defended (36), and he retains the career marks for punt return yards (1,151) and pass breakups (30).
