Kirk Cousins’ spouse is prepared for a fresh start with the Falcons

Everyone in the family is excited to move to Atlanta, according to Kirk Cousins’ wife, with the exception of one particular person.

Julie Cousins said on Instagram on Monday that she was prepared to relocate to the South after the quarterback agreed to a four-year, $180 million contract with the Falcons, along with the couple’s two sons, Cooper and Turner.

But Abe, their cherished Australian Labradoodle, isn’t overly thrilled about it.

“Packing up to head south… great time to play some instruments,” While packing their car, Julie posted a video of their sons playing toy instruments. “Atlanta here we come!”

Julie posted a different video of Abe standing in their kitchen and wrote: “This guy is the only one not excited about moving down south!”

Abe was adopted by cousins and their spouses when he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

Julie was born and raised in Georgia, where the couple has a house.

Later, Julie sent a heartfelt farewell to the Vikings on Instagram, complete with pictures of their family taken during their move to Minnesota in 2018.

“We came to Minnesota 6 years ago when Cooper was just 6 month [sic] old and Turner came shortly after!!” Julie wrote. “Time flies when you’re having fun!

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped us build our life in Minnesota over the past 6 years. We have the most beautiful memories we will cherish forever!”

One of the greatest splashes of NFL free agency was the Cousins’ transfer to Atlanta.

There is a guaranteed $100 million in his four-year contract.

The four-time Pro Bowler is back in action for the first time since suffering a torn right Achilles tendon at Lambeau Field in Week 8 of the 2023–24 campaign.

Cousins had never missed an NFL game due to an injury before that.

He only missed one competition because of COVID.

With 18 touchdown passes, Cousins was tied for the NFL lead and enjoying one of his greatest seasons prior to the injury.

The Falcons now have a real opportunity to qualify for the postseason for the first time since the 2016–17 campaign with the arrival of Cousins.

Atlanta’s quarterback situation has been resolved, and Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London are reliable playmakers who surround Cousins.

Zac Robinson, the latest addition to head coach Raheem Morris’ staff, will collaborate with the cousins.

After agreeing to a one-year contract with the former first-round pick Sam Darnold, the Vikings moved on from him.
