Reports: Damon Arnette Arrested For Carrying Gun & Meth
At 3:30 a.m. on January 6, Arnette was taken into custody in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Texas.
In August of last year, Arnette entered a guilty plea to misdemeanour counts of assault and drawing a deadly weapon. He was subsequently punished, forced to perform community service, and surrendered his pistol. District Judge Ronald Israel of Clark County, Nevada, cautioned Arnette not to carry a gun or be around one as he was sentenced to a $2,500 fine and 50 hours of community service.

The Raiders made Arnette a first-round draft pick in 2020, but he lasted only a year and a half before the team cut him during the 2021 season.
“I’m remorseful about everything,” Arnette told reporters. “I do have regrets, but I’m not dwelling on it because I’m a better man than what I was.”
The allegations arose from an argument with Park MGM valet personnel in January 2022. A casino valet reportedly told Newberg that Arnette pulled out a revolver when he was asked to prove his identity since he had forgotten his valet ticket.
According to Ross Goodman, the 26-year-old’s lawyer, he did not aim the pistol at anyone or threaten anyone, according to Newberg.

2020 saw Las Vegas choose the Ohio State cornerback with their first-round pick. After he was spotted on a video threatening to harm someone, the organization terminated him in November 2021. He had played 13 games in total in his first two seasons.
Later that year, Arnette was again taken into custody in Miami, where she was accused of driving with a suspended license, using drug paraphernalia, and possessing a prohibited substance.
“You know, it’s really sad man. We really try and give people chances. You just pissed me off man. You think we’re stupid? You think we don’t know what’s up? It’s Miami beach, it’s Miami f–king beach bro. You think that we don’t know that s–t, that we’re stupid, that we’re born yesterday?” a police officer said to Arnette during that arrest.

“You dropped a dollar with a tube on it earlier. … Your girl picked up, didn’t say nothing. Could’ve had you earlier bro and now you’re going to jail for what? ‘Cause, you’re stupid.
“I’m just venting because honestly, it sucks. We can’t even give people warnings without them f–king it up for themselves.”
