In addition to being a part of Nitro Circus, an action sports media firm started by motocross star Travis Pastrana, Archer was well-known in the Australian motocross scene.
Multisport hero Travis Pastrana co-founded Nitro Circus, an action sports media company, in 2003. Nitro Circus confirmed the athlete’s passing. What they wrote in an Instagram post was:

“The Nitro Circus family is mourning the loss of Jayo Archer. Jayo was the epitome of passion, hard work & determination. He pushed what was possible on a dirt bike to heights never seen before. A positive influence to those around him. And above all else a great human being and friend to us all.”
One of their members was Jayo Archer, who spent years as an assistant mechanic with Nitro Circus before making his stage debut in 2012.
Jayo Archer was a gifted athlete who was killed in his birthplace of Melbourne, Australia, while performing a triple backflip. The motocross world is in deep grief. One of just three persons in the world to pull off the stunt with a dirt bike, Archer executed it flawlessly for the first time during the Nitro World Games in November 2022.

Just three riders have ever successfully executed a triple backflip in a motocross competition, including Archer. When he executed the feat in November 2022, he became the first performer to do it during a competition. at the end, Archer took home a gold medal at the Nitro World Games held in Brisbane, Australia’s “Best Trick” category.
Before Archer rose to prominence in the sport, he was an assistant mechanic. In June 2023, he performed a triple backflip during a Nitro Circus Live Show in Jay, Oklahoma.

In addition to being a suspension specialist and mechanic for Raceline Performance and Factory Husqvarna Racing in Australia, he was a two-time medallist at the X Games.
