Chiefs’ Heiress Gracie Hunt ‘Went Crazy’ Amid Super Bowl Season Craze
That moment will stay with Gracie Hunt.
When quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a deep pass that punched a return ticket to the Super Bowl for the defending champions, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt was “overwhelmed with joy and excitement” with the two-minute warning approaching and Kansas City up by seven against the Ravens in the AFC Championship game in Baltimore.2

The 24-year-old Hunt recalls, “We went crazy,” and “it pretty much sealed the deal,” in a recent interview with The Post.
After that, Mahomes took a knee to seal the Chiefs’ 17-10 victory. This set up a Super Bowl 2024 matchup between Kansas City and the 49ers, whom the Chiefs had defeated four years earlier, in Las Vegas.

In contrast to the previous season, when the Chiefs secured a Super Bowl berth in front of the home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kingdom made the trek east for the divisional and championship rounds of the playoffs, emerging victorious as road warriors against the Bills and Ravens, respectively, with the aim of winning a second straight championship.
“We were the underdog in two very difficult road games against great quarterbacks and teams,” Regarding Josh Allen of the Bills and Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, Hunt stated. “We’re just so proud of this team and their perseverance and determination.”

The Chiefs’ journey back to Super Bowl glory hasn’t been simple; throughout the regular season, the offense struggled due to big drops and penalties that decided games.
Hunt is savoring this “special” moment for the team, though, as Mahomes and one of his favorite targets, tight end Travis Kelce, are playing at a high level this postseason. In fact, the two passed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the most playoff touchdowns by a quarterback-pass catcher combo (16) in the Chiefs’ 27-24 victory over Buffalo on January 21.
“We know how special this Chiefs era is so we make a point to soak up every moment,” she said. “It’s such a difficult journey to reach the AFC Championship game, let alone to win it on the road as underdogs and then earn the right to go back to the Super Bowl, and I just feel so blessed to have so many joyful memories.”

One of Hunt’s favorite memories of the season is witnessing pop sensation Taylor Swift join Chiefs Kingdom as their newest member.
“Growing up a fan of Taylor, it’s been beyond exciting to have her attend games and watch her joy and fun cheering on Travis and the Chiefs, the team that I’ve grown up loving and cheering for my whole life,” reported Hunt, who in December posted a picture of himself and 34-year-old Swift at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift is anticipated to land in Las Vegas after her fourth Eras Tour show in Tokyo, the final of which is slated for the day before the Super Bowl. This season, Swift has attended twelve Chiefs games in support of her boyfriend Kelce.
Swift, who has been dating Kelce, 34, since the summer, will have time to recover before kickoff on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. PT because of the 17-hour time difference.
“I know she has a very arduous journey coming from her concert that she performs right before the Super Bowl, I certainly do hope that our paths will cross,” Hunt said.
