NFL Announcer Joe Buck Believes Super Bowl Is Going To Be A “Mess” This Year

This week, before the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers, Joe Buck, the seasoned play-by-play announcer for “Monday Night Football,” stated on an ESPN radio station in his hometown of St. Louis, that he has “no desire” to be in Las Vegas.

It’s also not because he believes the game will be awful. For those in attendance, it’s the worst that could occur beforehand.

I do not have any desire to be there,” Buck said of Super Bowl 2024 during a Monday appearance on “The Opening Drive” on 101 ESPN in St. Louis. “It’s a lot of logistics. It’s a lot of congestion.

“I’m not that way. I’m not looking for the Maxim party and going out all night. It’s just not my thing and then you combine that with Vegas.

“There’s going to be some story, there’s gonna be something that happens because it’s Vegas and it won’t stay in Vegas. It’s gonna be a big something that happens. I don’t know what it is. I have no idea. I just think that is going to be a mess in my mind.”

The big game and Taylor Swift’s romance with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have garnered the most of attention in Las Vegas.

When asked if he and the music superstar will get engaged, the 34-year-old NFL player said, “I’m focused on getting this [Super Bowl] ring.”

The media has, however, raised concerns about Patrick Mahomes Sr., who was detained in Texas on Saturday night on accusations of operating a vehicle while drunk.

Amidst the arrest, Patrick Mahomes, the standout quarterback for the Chiefs, stated that his father, an ex-MLB pitcher, “is doing good”.

There have also been reports from prior Super Bowls, such as Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin apparently interacting inappropriately with a female Marriott hotel staffer during the game in Phoenix last year.

Irvin was removed off NFL Network’s schedule for the rest of the week, but according to the Dallas Morning News, a deal with Marriott about their $100 million defamation case against them has been reached.

Nonetheless, the Super Bowl has gone well thus far, with Opening Night being a huge success. Before kickoff, 49ers and Chiefs players fielded questions about Taylor Swift, the game, and other pertinent subjects.
