Colin Cowherd Called Caleb Williams ‘anti-Bears’, QB’s Camp Immediately Pushed Back Against The Report
Regarding the Bears– Caleb Williams quarterback dilemma, Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports has once again been exposed for passing off rumors and innuendo as truth, or even just his own perception of it.
Colin Cowherd Called Caleb Williams ‘anti-Bears’, QB’s Camp Immediately Pushed Back Against The Report
Cowherd attempted to revive an old, untrue rumour that Williams had no desire to visit Chicago, which had been launched in January by a social media troll.
Cowherd stated earlier this week that he believed Williams, who is from the Washington region, wouldn’t want to move to Chicago, therefore the Bears would trade their first selection to Washington.

The presenter of “The Herd,” Colin Cowherd, stated on Thursday’s show that the quarterback for USC, who is expected to be the first choice in the 2024 NFL Draft, is not interested in playing for the Bears, who have the first pick.
“I do think it’s possible that Washington trades up and Chicago allows Washington to trade up because Caleb and his group do not want to go to Chicago,” Cowherd said.
Apparently, the Williams team was informed, and they refuted the allegation.

I got a call yesterday from the Caleb Williams camp,” Cowherd said Friday. “And they went, ‘Whoa, whoa whoa. Colin, we don’t want to be painted as anti-Chicago. And we don’t want to be painted as anti-Bear.’
“And they made it clear to me that they said ‘Listen, we don’t want to go to a city that doesn’t care. Chicago cares. They’re big, loud, they’re passionate. They fire coaches all the time. They care. We don’t want to go to some sun belt place that you tarp off the upper deck.’”
When Cowherd spoke on 670 The Score in Chicago on Friday, the FS1 host reaffirmed Williams’ refusal to play for the Bears, seemingly going back on his first claim.

“He doesn’t want to pull an Elway. If they draft him, he’s going to go,” Cowherd said.
But when Williams announced his intention to join the 2024 draft last month, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noted that the USC product “enters the process excited for whoever ends up selecting him,” suggesting that he would be content to play professionally in Chicago.

Justin Fields’ tenure in the Windy City would almost certainly come to an end if the Bears choose to take the 2022 Heisman winner. They would probably trade Fields in the spring in an effort to add to their draft asset hoard.
The Bears would need to have a good amount of faith in Williams’ potential to develop into a franchise signal-caller if they were to choose him and start him at quarterback.
Is Caleb Williams declaring for the draft?
