On Sunday in the NFC Championship game, quarterback Brock Purdy gave his fiancée Jenna Brandt a hug on the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, shortly after guiding the 49ers to an exciting comeback victory over the Lions.

In celebration of San Francisco’s 34-31 victory and their advancement to Super Bowl 2024, the pair exchanged a kiss with the local audience.

Following the game, Brandt, who made her engagement to Purdy public in July 2023, gushed about the second-year quarterback in an Instagram post.

She posted on Monday, saying, “Proud proud & proud.”

In the title game, Purdy erased a 17-point deficit in the second half by going 20-for-31 for 267 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.

“No one was freaking out. It’s football. There’s a lot of experienced guys on this team, veteran guys who have been in crazy situations. We were just like, ‘We have to do our job,’” Purdy said.

When the George Halas Trophy was given to the NFC champions following the game, the former Iowa State standout, who was selected with the final choice in the 2023 NFL Draft, celebrated alongside his teammates.

Running back Christian McCaffrey, who gained 90 yards and two scores on the ground, remarked, “We’re lucky he’s our quarterback.”

“He takes a lot of heat for absolutely no reason.”

Following the team’s disorganized divisional-round triumph over the Packers the previous weekend, Purdy’s play was a hot topic of conversation heading into Sunday’s contest.

After the 24-21 victory, in which he completed 23 of 39 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown, Purdy remarked, “The weather, that’s football, you got to overcome that.”

The 49ers will now travel to Las Vegas to take on the Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions who defeated the Ravens in the AFC championship game earlier on Sunday.

Super Bowl 2024 kicks off on February 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Allegiant Stadium.
