Why Did Luka Doncic Asked A Fan To Be Removed From The Mavs Vs Suns Game?
The Dallas Mavericks were defeated 132-109 by the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, their fifth defeat in their previous seven games. They had wasted a 16-point lead in the first half. The Mavericks, who have dropped their last three games by an average of 16.3 points, put on yet another depressing display. All of this and fan abuse is something Luka Doncic could not take!
Luka Doncic Asked A Fan To Be Removed From The Mavs Vs Suns Game
Due to Kyrie Irving’s right thumb injury, Luka Doncic took on the majority of the offensive burden and scored 34 points while no other starter reached double digits. This is something we have seen happen time and time again.
As previously noted, Doncic received no mercy from the fan in question, who was wearing a Devin Booker “El Valle” shirt, during his whole stay close to the floor.

After the game, Doncic said that the heckler was cursing him out the whole first half. It was this comment in the third quarter that appeared to break the camel’s back: “Luka, you’re tired! Get your a— on the treadmill!”
Doncic was seen by cameras pausing in the midst of the court to give the man a quick glance. He was seen pointing at the fan and then back at the security guard, motioning for him to be taken from the property after turning around to defend himself.

After hearing what the supporter had to say, Doncic requested the fan to leave the game. Doncic said there was more to his decision to have the fan removed when asked why he made the decision at that precise moment.
“I’m not gonna say what the [fan] said, but I knew you were gonna be the first one to put out something like that,” said Doncic, “You’ll always seem to be the first one to put some bad stuff about me.”

“He was cursing me the whole first half, too,” said Doncic, “They paid for tickets, but I had enough. It’s a little bit of frustration.”
It was clear that Doncic was tired of the fan’s comments to him, even if he didn’t elaborate on what the fan had said to him in the first half that caused him to become so irate that he requested the fan be taken down.

Though the Mavericks’ inability to maintain consistency following a solid season debut is the greater problem here. A number of role players, including Irving and Doncic, have lost time due to injuries, which has hindered the team’s ability to develop any chemistry. Nevertheless, the Mavericks continue to have difficulty obtaining reliable contributions from players other than those two on a nightly basis.
