Mulkey made comments that were noticed after LSU defeated Texas A&M, leading some to advise her to address her team’s problems before condemning others. Recent internal strife and worries about supporting cast members have plagued LSU.

Clark responded to the criticism in a very sophisticated way, addressing Mulkey among her critics.

The gifted athlete admits that she might not be the best in women’s college basketball, but she is still having a great season.

“That’s not something I worry about,” Clark said.

“I think I just worry about being in this moment, enjoying this moment.

“The people that I really care about, the people that I really love – they always have my back. … Those are the people that are really going to matter to me.”

As she looks to improve upon the mistakes of the previous campaign, Clark’s real success will be determined by her ability to guide her squad to a National Championship.
