Officially, Ryan Shazier and Michelle Shazier are splitting up. Less than two months after she accused him in public of infidelity, Ryan is formally divorcing his long-term partner.
The former NFL player filed the documents on Wednesday, according to court documents that TMZ Sports was able to get.
But since a judge has ordered the case to remain sealed, no more information about the situation has been made public.

Upon our inquiry on Thursday, Ryan’s lawyer declined to respond.
As we previously reported, Michelle accused Ryan of sending lewd texts to another lady back in late November, setting her sights on him severely.
She claimed that after Ryan flirted in the chats, he sent links to books with explicit content.

Prior to Ryan’s devastating spine injury in 2017, Michelle and Ryan got together and raised two boys together. In 2019, they tied the knot.

Former American football player Ryan Shazier played linebacker for the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers selected him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft while he was a college football player for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Shazier had a great rookie campaign in the NFL, making it to the Pro Bowl in 2016. In a 2017 season game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Shazier attempted a head-first tackle that resulted in paralysis; he had to have spinal stabilization surgery and regain his ability to walk.

Shazier declared his retirement from football in 2020 after the Steelers placed him on their physically unable-to-perform list for two seasons.
