Super Bowl Champion Rodney McLeod Subtly Trolls Bill Belichick Post Patriots Exit

But there is one Super Bowl game in Philadelphia legend where Belichick and the Pats did lose. The Eagles defeated Belichick, Tom Brady, and the Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.

The funniest social media tributes to Belichick and his illustrious accomplishment came from former Eagles safety Rodney McLeod, despite the fact that many other players and sports leaders also shared similar sentiments.

In this X post , McLeod offered one of the greatest images in Philadelphia sports history.

“The only photo I have of myself and Belichick! Truly an honor to share the field with one of the best coaches of my generation and football history,” McLeod wrote. I never experienced the Patriot Way but he transcended that organization! He will forever be a legend.”

That remark is fairly common, but the accompanying photo of McLeod and his Eagles teammates celebrating a Super Bowl LII victory against Belichick’s Patriots wasn’t.

Well, that’s a humorous way to wish the all-time great NFL coach luck before he takes a coaching position elsewhere in the league.

Although we are unsure of Belichick’s next coaching position, we can say with certainty that McLeod’s social media post made us laugh.

We’ll see how Belichick adjusts to this new chapter in his career, and we applaud McLeod for coming up with a clever way to subtly mock Belichick during one of the more momentous occasions in recent NFL history.

On Thursday, Belichick and the Patriots called it quits after 24 seasons together. Currently available for employment, he may be signed by any team for the upcoming season and beyond.

What happened to Rodney McLeod?

The Cleveland Browns lost safety Rodney McLeod for the season to a torn bicep after the 12-year veteran safety—who was signed because of his connection with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz—played brilliantly. Expect to see more of safety Ronnie Hickman, an undrafted free agent, as a result.

Did Rodney McLeod play for the Eagles?

Rodney McLeod has been the Philadelphia Eagles’ on-and off-field embodiment of a champion for the past six years. Watch the top moments from his stay with the club.
